The phrase “Crabs in the Bucket, is something that doesn’t just happen in the South. I think it touches everyone in one way or another. If you could picture crabs in a bucket; crawling on top of each other trying to get out. While the other crabs are pulling them back down.
If you get a new home, new car, or suddenly you get a great job opportunity. You’re looking happy on Facebook, you’re smiling, life looks good, you’ve got some great pictures from your vacation, and your statuses are positive. You look like you’re doing great; your “friends” and “family” get a little quieter, your Facebook friends began to disappear because they don’t want to see that. Here comes the crabs because they will not be happy for you. If you’re reading this and thinking to yourself “I’m not jealous!!”
Congratulations you are a Crab…lol!
When you cannot be happy for other people, that want better for themselves.
Congratulations you are a Crab!
To everyone that made it out the bucket, keep striving, be great, pick better friends, and let those family members go. As Maya Angelo once said “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.”
So Love Hard, Be Happy, and Live Life; stay away from the buckets because there is always someone there trying to pull you back in.

Remember ya’ll not everyone in the South eats fried chicken, but if you fry it just right. We won’t turn it down!
