Happy Wednesday Y’all!
Who doesn’t love a great chocolate chip cookie, because in my house everyone does! I have completely given up on the store bought, hard and tasteless chocolate chip cookies. Instead I have tried my old recipe and switched up a few things. I believe with a little trial and error, I think I’ve finally gotten the perfect recipe. This is by far the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever eaten. I wanted a cookie that when you took a bite, you would get a bite of chocolate but it wasn’t overwhelming. I wanted to actually be able to taste the cookie.
If you make these chocolate chip cookies you will never buy store bought again. These cookies are everything, the crunchiness on the outside, and the soft and chewy middle. It is not only satisfying, it’s downright delicious. I really hope that your family and friends enjoy these chocolate chip cookies as much as we do. Okay y’all let’s get baking.
As always we need a list of ingredients before we can get started.
Ingredients
-2 sticks of unsalted butter
-2 large eggs
-1/2 cup of white sugar
-1 cup of brown sugar
-2 3/4 cups of all-purpose
-3/4 teaspoon of salt
-1 teaspoon of cornstarch
-2 teaspoons of vanilla
-1 cup of chocolate chips
-3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
Recipe for Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
First, I’m going to cut my 2 sticks of cold unsalted butter into small cubes, then place them in a bowl.
Next, add 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of white sugar into the bowl with your chopped butter.
Then, add 2 eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla until the mixture is completely creamy.
After your mixture is creamy add in 2 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 3/4 teaspoon of salt.
Continue to stir until all of your ingredients are fully mixed together.
Then, add 1 cup of chocolate chips and fold them into your mixture.
Once you’ve folded in your chips, feel free to add more chocolate chips if you desire.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and then use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to place your dough onto parchment paper.
Place your chocolate chip cookies into the oven for about 8-11 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown.
Allow your cookies to cool on a baking sheet.
