Many of our posts have been holiday centered and this one is no different.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year, I love everything about it; the music, the food, and the decorations. . Although my Christmas decorations have been up, it’s been raining and I was unable to take pictures. Thankfully, the rain has finally subsided and I’m finally able to share this post with y’all.
Outdoor Christmas Decor Ideas
Here is the complete picture of my home, keep scrolling as I describe my decorations.
Snowman Created from Wreaths

This is the snowman that is on my front door. I made by using three different sized wreaths that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I spray painted them white to give the impression of a snowman. Then I purchased some fabric and I made his boots and hat and stuffed them with poly-fil, which is just premium polyester. I used red ribbon for his scarf and then I wrapped him in lights, to ensure that my front door will be brightly lit.
A Pre-Lit Wreath is an Amazing Outdoor
Christmas Decor Idea
Prelit wreaths are always a great idea when decorating your home for Christmas. It saves time and it can also be more cost-effective. I found these pre-lit wreaths from JcPenny and placed them on my windows. These large pre-made, red, and sparkly were purchased from Hobby Lobby. I usually like to create my own bows ribbon, but when I saw these pre-made bows I knew I couldn’t leave them in the store.
Life-Size Elf on the Shelf
Since an Elf on the Shelf is mischievous, I decided to place them in precarious positions in my yard. I always enjoy decorating for Christmas, because everyone gets a kick out of them. I have five life-size Elves that I made because I was unable to find large ones. If you’re interested in making your own, I provide a step-by-step guide which can be found here. Keep reading to see where the other life-size Elf on the Shelves are placed.
Using Festive Signs as an Outdoor
Christmas Decor Idea
Lastly, I found that festive signs are great for decorating your yard for the holidays. Of course I found this one at Hobby Lobby, but if you don’t have a Hobby Lobby near you or you can always order online. You can also check your local Lowe’s, Home Depot, Target or Walmart they all carry festive signs around the holidays.
I hope y’all enjoyed this post! Feel free to leave any questions in the comment section!
