Cranberry : One of The Hottest Colors for Fall 2019

Happy Friday Kittens!

In this post,  I decided to do something a little different.  I wanted to shake things up and add a little color to my fall wardrobe. I’m a lover of all things black, click here for  my last post if you don’t believe me. I literally wear it all year round. However, I wanted to broaden my fashion horizons a bit. I know I’m not the only that falls into the habit of wearing;  black, gray, whites, and neutral tones whenever the weather starts to cool down. I have decided to incorporate wine tones into my Fall wardrobe and you should too.

Cranberry : One of the Hottest Colors for Fall 2019

Since fashion is always changing and constantly evolving, bright colors such as orange, hot pink, and even pistachio green are really on trend this fall/winter  season. Although I’m all for adding color to my wardrobe, I’m  taking baby steps and easing into this trend. Since I’ve been wearing black for so long, I didn’t want to go into fashion shock so I’m taking it slow by  adding the color; Cranberry.

I decided on this cranberry mock turtleneck sleeveless knit dress with an asymmetrical tulip hem, from Express.  When I first saw this dress I absolutely loved it and I was going  to purchase it in black. Then my mom was like, “Really Jennifer another black dress?? Please buy something with  some color.” So I decided to buy the cranberry dress because it’s a beautiful  and rich color and it’s one of the hottest colors of the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 season. Unfortunately, the dress is sold out, and I cannot find a similar version.

It’s also a great color option if you’re like me and want to add more color, but still want to remain true to fall and embrace darker hues. Cranberry, is a wine tone that’s perfect for the cooler temperatures. It’s a rich wine color, that has a hint of candy apple, but with a ruby undertone. It’s almost like a burgundy in color, but a bit more muted.

I’ve paired my cranberry dress with my black moto jacket.  I mean it’s not fall if you’re not wearing a moto jacket….right??? This moto jacket has a faux fur trim which I love. I really like that the cranberry  is ultra feminine and then the black moto jacket adds a bit of hardness. So it strikes a nice balance between hard and soft.

Accessories

Initially I was going to wear tights but I didn’t want to take away from the richness of the dress. So I decided to wear my thigh high boots. I mean I’ve waited so long to find the perfect thigh high boots, I never want to take them off and I’m seriously trying to wearing them with every outfit I own…lol!

My purse is another mini bag,  it’s faux croc embossed and it can be worn as a cross- body bag, however I didn’t want anything to obscure the dress. So, I decided to carry it in a lady- like fashion by the handle. Lastly, I’m wearing a black floppy hat, which I purchased from Nordstrom last year.  A hat adds such a level of sophistication to your outfit. I mean the right hat can take your outfit from Great to Amazing.

Final Thoughts

I’m slowly  realizing that I can add color to my fall wardrobe and still look fall ready. So if you’re still on the fence about wearing more color in the fall, don’t worry you can add color and still look like a badass.

I hope y’all enjoyed this post, and I hope that everyone has a fun, fabulous,  and safe weekend!
