The Perfect Minidress & Ankle Boot Combo for Winter

Happy Friday Kittens!

I hope y’all had a fabulous and productive week. In my last post, which you can read here, I described my favorite go to winter outfit. In this post, I wanted to head in a totally different direction. I wanted to go for an ultra feminine and ladylike look.  So I decided to share my idea of the perfect minidress + ankle boot ensemble. I realize that it’s winter, and everyone is probably reaching for their midi dresses or skirts. However, I have found that a minidress works just as well in the wintertime as long as you opt for a thicker fabric.

I also really love wearing neutrals in the winter such as blacks, grays, and even white. I found the most adorable contrast collar minidress in the neutral color of gray and paired it with some fabulous WHITE BOOTS…yes you read correctly White Boots in winter. If you don’t have a pair of white ankle boots you are seriously missing out on a major fashion trend. If you’re not sold on the white boot trend, just keep scrolling and hopefully you’ll see why they are  the IT boot to have this year.

The Perfect Minidress for Winter

When I first laid eyes on this knit minidress I knew I had to have it. I was just casually browsing through Forever 21 online when I saw this chic and ladylike dress. I absolutely love a contrast collar, which is similar to a Peter Pan collar. Not to mention it also has contrasting white cuffs which accentuate the long sleeves and adds an air of sophistication. This brushed knit mini dress features; contrast woven trim, spread collar, long sleeves with button cuffs, and a concealed back zip closure.

Since the dress is brushed fabric, it means that the fabric has been mechanically raised.  Which makes it extremely soft and it’s also great if you have super sensitive skin like I do. Sometimes thicker fabrics tend to be more uncomfortable and itchy, but that certainly is not the case with this dress. Brushed fabric, also allows for breathablility and controls your body temperature. Which is a must during the cold winter months.

Not only is this dress stylish and modern it’s going to keep you warm. It’s the perfect dress for a day out or if you want to update your work wardrobe, it will work for that as well. I guarantee that anywhere you go in this dress you’ll receive tons of compliments.

Minidress + White Hot Ankle Boots

Ankle boots are such a hot winter trend that will never go out of style, but this year is all about the white hot ankle boot. Last year, the white boot made an appearance and they’re here to stay.  I know there are some skeptics out there that believe that rule that you should NEVER EVER white shoes! Well honey, I’m here to tell you that they’re wrong and totally unfashionable. That idea of thinking is not only archaic,  it’s just plain wrong.

We all know that the right boot can set off any outfit. However, a pair of white boots brings a flair of chic and sophistication to your entire ensemble. White boots, make any outfit seem just a little more cleaner, crisper, and more put together. The white boot is a trend that has become a major staple  in the fashion industry. These boots can also carry you into Spring and Summer. So in actuality they are an investment in your wardrobe that you might want to make.

I also chose to pair my white boots with a white mini bag, there is something so chic about the white contrasting collar and cuffs coupled with the white boots and  mini bag. It just brings the whole entire look together. I feel like the white bag and the white boot together is such a smart look. Lastly, I’m wearing a charcoal gray beret, because it just completed the entire look. It’s also warm and with these cold temperatures in South Carolina I need all the warmth I can get.

So there you have it  my idea of the perfect minidress+ ankle boot combination for Winter 2020. I hope y’all enjoyed this post.
