First, we're going to make our homemade spaghetti sauce. We need to combine our 1 can of tomato paste and 2 cans of tomato sauce into a bowl.
Then, you will begin to mix in the other ingredients; add in 2 tablespoons of oregano, 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 tablespoon of garlic salt, 1/2 tsp of freshly ground pepper, and sugar for taste.
Next, you will stir your paste and sauce together until there are no lumps.
The amount of sugar, depends on the tanginess of your sauce. If you prefer a tangier sauce, use less sugar.
Continue to stir until all ingredients are blended together within the sauce. Once you've finished set your sauce aside and begin to chop your bell pepper.
Personally, I've always loved the taste of a green bell pepper in my spaghetti sauce. I think it gives it an extra pop of flavor. I always wash my vegetables and then I begin to chop and dice my bell pepper.
